Situado a más de 100 metros sobre el nivel del mar, este histórico cerro es el balcón natural más imponente de la comuna. Su nombre en mapudungun evoca al "viento que sopla", haciendo honor a las brisas marinas que acompañan una incomparable vista panorámica en 360 grados. Desde su cima se puede contemplar la inmensidad de la bahía de Ancud, el golfo de Quetalmahue y el mítico Canal de Chacao. Un rincón mágico e inspirador, ideal para capturar atardeceres memorables.
Fuerte San Antonio
Fuerte San Antonio: El último bastión español
Construido en 1770, este histórico recinto militar es uno de los patrimonios coloniales más importantes de Chiloé. Fue el último bastión de la Corona Española en ser anexado a la República de Chile en 1826. Hoy en día, sus centenarios cañones de bronce y sus muros de piedra original conviven con una explanada verde que regala una vista privilegiada de la bahía de Ancud y el golfo de Quetalmahue. Un viaje en el tiempo con el océano Pacífico como telón de fondo.
Pinguineras de Puñihuil
Islotes de Puñihuil: El santuario de los pingüinos
Ubicado a 28 kilómetros al noroeste de Ancud, este maravilloso monumento natural es uno de los pocos lugares en el mundo donde conviven y anidan juntas dos especies: los pingüinos de Magallanes y de Humboldt. A través de guiados y responsables paseos en lancha que circundan los islotes, los visitantes pueden observar de cerca a estas y otras aves marinas en su hábitat virgen, rodeados de una geografía costera espectacular.
